Please note: This job is for accommodation only. You will not be paid out a salary. The work you do will cover the accommodation in our 2-bed staff dorm. 

Start Date/Training: Training will start 05 July 2026

Minimum Stay: 2 months

We are looking for a reliable and flexible evening receptionist to join our team. This is an evening shift role, in exchange for your work, we offer accommodation. If you're someone who enjoys being part of a hostel family, has strong customer service skills, and is comfortable with cleaning tasks, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Shift Roster:

• 3 evenings on (18:00-21:00 + on call), 4 days off
• 4 evenings on (18:00- 21:00+ on call), 3 days off 
  (2-week rotation)
  
   

Supervise Reception:

• Guest Check-ins: Assist guests with check-ins during evening hours, ensuring a smooth arrival process.
• Answer Questions: Be the point of contact for guest inquiries, providing helpful information about the property and the local area.
• Communal Area Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness in communal spaces, ensuring they are tidy and welcoming for guests.
• Laundry: Oversee the laundry tasks, ensuring linens and towels are clean and ready for use.

General Property Management:

• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including maintaining common areas and guest rooms.
• Be available on call to assist guests with any requests or concerns during the evening hours.
• Ensure the accommodation is secure, well-maintained, and clean.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and issues.
• Help with guest check-ins and check-outs when required.
• Ensure the overall cleanliness and order of the property during your shift.

Key Qualifications:

• No prior experience required, but experience in customer service, housekeeping, or hospitality is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable attitude.
• Ability to be part of a team and collaborate within the hostel family environment.
• Comfortable with being on call and responding to guest needs.
• Ability to perform basic housekeeping duties and maintain a tidy environment.
• This job would suit someone who wants to gain valuable experience in both customer service and property upkeep.
