Au Pair

Au Pair 

We are looking for an Au Pair to help us out around the house with cooking, general housework, cleaning and with our 3 kids 8, 5 and 2 yr old. We are a fun and busy family, who love the outdoors, especially the beach. 

We live a sustainable life on a beautiful farm and have extensive vegetable gardens, a huge orchard, flower gardens and a native plant nursery. We are 1 hour north of Auckland city. 

Looking  for someone who has lots of energy, is flexible and shows inviative. We need help with the children and around the homestead with a range of jobs.

We would like someone who likes cooking and sharing meals, we cook a range of food from different cultures and we have our own beef and eggs from our chickens, catch our own fish etc this job would not suit a vegetarian. 

Main jobs include:

- helping with the kids, the hours and times would vary each day depending on what activities we have on.

-housework and general chores, feeding animals such as chickens, puppy, cats (applicant must be ok with these animals).

-preparing and cooking meals or helping to do so and cleaning up in the kitchen. 

You would have your own seperate accomodation (on our property) with a kitchen and bathroom, in a beautiful little cottage called the “Honey House” surrounded by gardens and trees. You would have a car to use whilst living with us and you are welcome to take it away on the weekends to see other parts of the region or further afield if you wish. 

Full license necessary and first aid experience a good bonus. Being able to cook, or willingness to get stuck in and learn more if you only have basic skills is very helpful.

Looking for someone to start ASAP, experience with children, knowledge of safety, good energy and a willingness to do a range of jobs to help run our family and homestead is necessary. 

Minimum of 3-6 months, longer if possible. We are super flexible. Willing to give time off to do trips whilst you work here.

You would work in exchange for accommodation, food, internet usage, power etc and a car of your own to use plus a weekly wage to be decided on when work hours are decided.
