Holiday Park Assistants X2

Holdens Bay Holiday Park is situated only 10 minutes from the city and Rotorua's best attractions. We have a range of self-contained units, cabins, powered sites for campers and an Airbnb property.

We are looking for an enthusiastic couple to join our team as Park Assistants! Applicants will be able to start as soon as possible.

About the role: 

Park Assistants are an integral part of our team, responsible for keeping the park clean and well maintained. Daily tasks include cleaning rooms and communal facilities, processing laundry and keeping the grounds looking tidy. Park Assistants are required to clean rooms and communal areas to a high standard productively within given time frames.

As part of your weekly tasks, you will be required to assist in other departments, such as reception and maintenance. Ideally, one person would be focusing on cleaning and maintenance, and the other on cleaning and reception.

• Reception duties include welcoming guests, facilitating check-ins and check-outs, handling booking inquiries, modifications and cancellations via phone, email and in person, processing payments and completing cash-up.
• Maintenance areas include gardening, painting, repairs, and general up-keep of the grounds.

The ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:

• Fluency in English.
• Being responsible, hardworking, and reliable.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently and follow instructions.
• Great attention to detail and take great pride in their work.
• Willingness to live onsite.
• Willingness to clean daily.
• Ability to commit for a minimum of 6 months

Prior hospitality experience, especially in cleaning and reception is considered a strong advantage, however we will consider all applicants.

Schedule:

• Up to 5 days per week. We work between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm. Each week you will have 2 days off. 
• This post is for a couple only
• Starting end of June
• Minimum 6 months commitment required

Accommodation: 

You will be required to live on-site and assist with after-hours responsibilities. A one bedroom unit is available with your own private kitchen and shared bathroom, or a powered site with access to shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. All utilities included (including Wi-Fi).
