Duty Manager Restaurant

DUTY MANAGER - IMMEDIATE START - PERMANENT ONGOING - FULL TIME, 32 HOURS/WEEK

About MOW:

We are located at the very Eastern end of Waiheke Island at the stunning Man O' War Bay. We are searching for a highly-motivated person to join our Restaurant management team in delivering services at our Cellar Door Restaurant. 

About You:

You will need to be an experienced, outgoing, hospitality Duty Manager, who can create a positive environment for the publc and staff that enhances the Man O' War experience, brand and loyalty. You will need to be able to demonstrate proven Food and Beverage experience gained at a Restaurant setting, and experience in supervising 5-20 FOH staff on a shift.

About the Role:

• Deliver exceptional customer service experience while monitoring and uholding the Sales of Alcohol legislation
• Overseeing all aspects of cash handling, stock management and Health and Safety
• Coaching and mentoring Front of House team members in all aspects of day to day operational training.

Manadatory Requirements:

1. Must have legal work rights in NZ
2. Current LCQ qualification 
3. Sound proven oral and written English 
4. Experience with POS systems and Microsoft Office
5. Experience with Booking and Rostering systems

As a very busy, fast paced operation that is open 7 days/week, during daytime only, there is a lot of variety across shift patterns and hours of work can vary, so flexibility is a key.

You will need to be able to relocate/reside on Waiheke. Temporary Hostel accommodation is available on site.
