Sous Chef

The Conservatory bar and restaurant is looking for an experienced and highly positive, hard working and energetic sous chef with vast experience in a busy and fast paced restaurant environment to join our highly skilled and committed kitchen family / team.

We are now looking for an experienced senior sous chef. This is a full time position. All applicants must have the appropriate work visa / rights.

Unfortunately due to one of our most amazing and much loved sous chefs leaving after over 3 years to take up a new career direction we are now looking for his replacement to join our family / team.

The Conservatory bar and restaurant on the waterfront in Aucklands CBD is well known and respected and has been operating successfully for over 15 years.

The reason for our longevity - our people, our standards and good old fashioned hospitality.

Situated on Auckland's waterfront in the CBD, you'll be working alongside a great group of people in an award winning venue.

The food is what sets us apart - unpretentious but exceptional casual dining.

We are looking for a highly experienced senior sous chef or exceptional sous chef who wants to step up. A very positive attitude is imperative as is a calm demeanor and the ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment.

This position will suit an individual with the old school hospitality mentality of side before self.

The succesful applicant will have at least 2 years experience as a sous chef, a strong eye for detail, be truly passionate about delivering exceptional quality with every dish and a strong understanding of how to work in a team AND motivate a team.

A very strong command of the English language is essential as is a strong work ethic, fun demeanor and great interpersonal skills.

This is a full time position and the hours will be normal hospitality hours - over days, nights and every weekend .

Pay will be relevant to your experience.
