Farm Assistant – Farmhand

We are seeking someone to help on our sheep and cattle farm and assist with lambing along with the other many tasks that happen at this time of year  including mustering,  feeding out, electric fencing, fence repair, crutching, drenching, wood chopping  etc. plus helping around the garden and homestead if required. 

The farm is an attractive valley with great views, expansive skies and extending to the top of the mountain block range. 

September start required and preferably you are able to be with us for several months. (There is only a job for one person).

This role  is for someone who is relatively fit and strong and is caring towards animals and enjoys being outdoors.

Ideally you have experience with sheep /other animals, are quick to learn, have good communication skills, good humoured, have a good work ethic and are happy to give a hand  where ever it is needed. Practical skills such as fencing and carpentry would be a plus. The ability to drive a manual 4 WD with trailer is required and able to ride a  motorbike may be useful.

We can offer $24 dollars /hr plus holiday pay plus accommodation -a caravan - providing  you with your own space. There will be some long days and weekend work. You will need to have your own transport to explore the area.
