Flower Pickers / Orchard Workers

Byrne Orchard is a Family owned Kiwifruit Orchard located in Kotinga (Takaka) in beautiful Golden Bay.

We grow 10ha's of Gold Kiwifruit and 20ha's of Green Kiwifruit. We are 5km away from Takaka township, which has shops, Supermarket, fuel and all other services available.

We are looking for approx 10 - 12 people to join us starting mid November (14th/ 15th) for our upcoming Flower picking season, which will last until late/ end of November (28th / 29th) weather permitting.

Flower picking is a piece rate job ($ per kg) which gives pickers a chance to earn more than the minimum wage of $23.95/hour.

This job is best suited for Female pickers as it is delicate figertip work, but we are happy to give Male applicants a go as well. 

We could possibly have more work available afterwards for the right people, to continue work in our Kiwifruit blocks until closer to Christmas.

This job is ideally suited for people / couples travelling in self contained vans and who are looking to live and work in Golden Bay over the Summer. We have a free basic campsite available for staff with a self contained vehicle.
